Acers are nice machines. Did you end up getting one? One thing I am very happy about with the more recent laptops is the ability to upgrade your hardware easily now. Ever since the whitebook came out, it seems everyone is becoming more streamline on their internal setup. 5 years ago my husband and I wouldn't take a laptop apart to save our lives, especially if it had a warranty on it that it could go back to the company for whatever was needed. But these days it is so easy to get in and out of them, there is so much potential to get a basic machine and upgrade it to your own tastes!

Hope you get the machine you want out of it in the end!!
